I've used the Caterpillar 320 for about a year as part of a variety of projects. It’s got good hydraulic precision-makes detailed tasks less of a hassle. There were a few moments where I thought the operation could be slightly smoother when switching functions quickly. Nonetheless, it’s a solid machine for handling different environments, and the maintenance is pretty straightforward as parts are easy to source and swap out.

The Caterpillar 140H got the job done efficiently when I operated it. The drivetrain provided consistent output, and the cutting edge seemed robust and ready for varied materials. Yet, I did notice some minor wear points and cabin imperfections that may require attention later. Still, it held its ground under consistent load.

I was recently operating a Caterpillar 330 in a sandy quarry. The excavator's engine seemed robust during heavy use, and the controls were intuitive once I adapted to their layout. The rearview camera helped a lot while working in tight spots. However, I noticed the cab insulation could do better against external noise. But overall, it handles workloads efficiently.

The Caterpillar 140K has impressed me with its precise performance during operations. The load-sensing hydraulics provide smooth transitions when leveling surfaces. Although fuel consumption is reasonable, occasional maintenance checks for the hydraulic system are necessary to ensure peak functionality.

Just finished a weeklong project using the Caterpillar 305, and I have to say, it's a solid performer for its size. The hydraulic thumb makes handling loose material straightforward, although I found maneuverability somewhat restricted in tight spots. Power is adequate for small-scale land clearing, but tackling more massive roots took patience. As for my experience, it's been reliable and suits medium-duty tasks.

I’ve operated the D7 for a while now, and one of its standout features is the automatic transmission. Not needing to manually shift gears simplifies its use, especially during busy workloads. However, I found its precision on uneven terrains slightly below expectations. Overall, though, it's reliable for most jobs.

Used the Caterpillar 304 on several projects recently. The compact size allowed me to navigate tight spaces without too much trouble. Power-wise, it performs comparably to larger models, though the arm bolt issue I faced was a bit frustrating and slightly costly to fix. Efficient for digging, especially when installing lateral sewer lines. Noise levels are acceptable, and operating controls are intuitive.

Honestly, after a couple months with the 325, the quiet cab is probably the thing I notice most. You get in, power up, and it’s basically hush in there. Big upgrade over the 320 I used before. Noise used to be this background stress, now it’s just... not. Controls are lighter too, you move around all day and don't finish up feeling like you just wrestled a bear. My back doesn’t ache anymore at the end of shift, I swear. That boom sitting way back, lets you see what's actually going on, especially when you’re pushing dirt with the blade. I barely use mirrors anymore, just look straight out. I’d give it a solid 5 for comfort and operation. Service is decent but I haven’t had much to do yet, so 4 there. Price, I dunno, it’s not exactly cheap but you get what you pay for with CAT.

I've used the Caterpillar 966 GC for a few months now. The fuel-saving features are decent but don't eliminate the consumption concerns completely. Maintenance access from ground level is a time saver. However, the comfort could be better during long hours. Overall, it's reliable and gets the job done.

Impressive in operation. The operator requires minimal effort - the control is straightforward, despite the machine's substantial dimensions. It is a bit costly to maintain, but it doesn't frequently require repairs.
